About Me

I have always felt strongly that people and their relationships are at the heart of everything we do in life. Throughout my counselling training these views were reinforced and I believe counselling can be transformational. My approach is person-centred which means I create the best conditions possible for you to feel able to share and work through your thoughts and feelings. I am also trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).

I am a qualified counsellor with a range of relevant work experience prior to my training. I have worked in corporate HR developing, amongst other things, my coaching skills which made me appreciate the value of creating opportunities for people to flourish. My passion was always supporting people in organisations at every level, how they could get the most from their work and their relationships with each other. The progression into a counselling career seemed a natural next step for me.

As well as working for many years in HR I also have experience in education, the public sector and voluntary organisations. So I understand the challenges of working life in many environments.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) and work within their ethical framework.
